Why does HP have terrible support? They touted the upgradability of this machine, but then made it nearly impossible to accomplish. Poor documentation and poor online assistance (they sent me to the parts depot to see the product wasn't available)... I also started with the Crucial SODIMMS mentioned in this thread only to have to return and purchase the Samsung SODIMMs, which should be here tomorrow. *finger crossed*

hey buddy, is yours 12th gen intel? I just bought this envy 34 all in one the c1045t which the product number shows as a c1000 type i guess. THe crucial didnt work though crucial site said will. I have 2 x 16 now wanted 2 more.. so then after 2 more crucial didnt work I bought four of the same brand like hp says to. That got unsupported too. SO now I seen this thread and amd trying both the 2 x 32 samsung and also trying the samsung 2 x 16 to add to my existing 16... if that wokrs ill return the 2 x 32...

Thank you ColinR66 for sharing this information.
I have just ordered 2 x 2x32GB Samsung DDR5-4800 (M425R4GA3BB0-CQKOL from Amazon.
Can I ask, did you need to make any changes in the BIOS please?
Thank you again.

Hi Tessacate,
I didn't need to make any BIOS changes, I just swapped out the memory after powering down, disconnecting the power cable, and being careful of static when changing memory. Note that you can't change any memory related settings in BIOS as HP has locked out access to the Advanced BIOS settings. Regardless, there is no need to change BIOS, just swap out memory.
Good to see this post is helping people.
