Hi, I bought HP ENVY x360 Laptop in December 2020 - after using it for few months. It started crashing and shutting down. I would say it worked fine for 6 months and then I am having this problem.
I have it checked from Best buy Geek Squad and there conclusion is that Laptop is having failing Mother board issues.
I need to know where can I buy mother board from or is my current mother board repairable ? how much will it cost me, Since I am out of warranty.

Hi @HD87
HP Part Surfer does not offer the MB for sale. Use the product number at the link if needed. You would have to check eBay or similar sites for the right MB needed for your specific product.
The vague diagnosis provided by Best Buy is not very helpful. I would have a local PC Tech give a second opinion.
Crashing and shutdowns can also be caused by corrupt system files, bad drivers, even seemingly benign software, heat, or power delivery problems (the external power supply).
Have you ever backed up data and then reset the PC to check stability? A stable system after a reset would suggest the MB and other components are okay.

I have reset the systems couple of times already and have it checked by 3 different technicians before giving it to Geek Squad. Geek squad actually reset the system again and did the stress test as well before coming down to the same conclusion as other 3 technician suggested.
my laptop works fine some days and when it crashes and shutdown then it happens after every minute for two upon restart.

Hi
Thanks for the additional info.
I guess you have some type of hardware problem. RAM, external power supply, storage device, or the MB.
All other components are integrated or soldered to the MB.

Hi @HD87
Contact HP if in warranty. I would have a local Tech replace the MB if you are out of warranty and this is what you want.
You isolate the MB as the problem by trying a different power supply, swapping in different RAM, and disconnecting the storage device. No change after trying swappable components suggests the MB.
The three Techs you used to check the PC and Best Buy Geek Squad all seem to think the MB has problems.
I would think one of your Tech contacts would have suggested replacing the MB if they had swapped in different components.
