HP Envy 23.jpegI found a HP Envy 23 TouchSmart All-in-One Model No.23-D034 on the corner of my street. I took it home, plugged in my old 65W HP Power Cord and it works, it just has a cracked glass. I want to max upgrade it, but I can't find any info on it and the HP website is no help. It's like this PC does not exist. Does anyone out there have a spec manual or any info on what cpu and mxm gpu I can max the system out. I found a 180W HP power cord that's compatible with the system, but I read that there is a higher Watt Power cord (250-280W) that might work also maybe? Any info...

Below is the link to the parts list for your PC:

HP PartSurfer

It has a HP Lavaca3-SB' motherboard.

Support for the PC has been retired since it is more than 10 years old, but I found this post where someone has a PC with the same motherboard and the person that answered the question provided some details regarding upgrades.

Thank-you, I got the CPU - i7-3770s. Now I need at least a 4GB MXM GPU. Do you know any that will work?

You're very welcome.

I found a model that came with the supported MXM card as well as the heat sink.

Here's the link to the parts list:

694456-001
Heatsink - MXM 3.0 Type A 35W thermal mod 2 GB,Devon

660498-003
Graphics Card - GFX Scorpius5

The graphics card is a nVidia GeForce GT630M 2GB MXM 3.0 card.

You will probably have to find these parts on eBay.

If you need a card beyond the only one offered in the model series, you will have to find one on your own and you will also need to find a heat sink that will work for both the card and the PC.

Thanks, but the nVidia GeForce GT630M is not easy to find especially when nvidia does not support it anymore. But I read that the 2GB AMD Radeon HD 7650A GDDR3 does work, but i'm still trying to find a 4GB card that might work. Any news on the AC Power Adapter that's over 250W. All I could find was a 180W AC Power Adapter.

You're very welcome.

The PC's that come with the Nvidia GPU use the 180W power supply which is listed in that parts list I posted.

This is the cheapest GT630M I could find, and it is located in Australia.

Seems like a lot of money to invest in an old PC.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you anymore with this because I have no idea what other graphics cards will work, where you can find one, or what heatsink will fit the graphics card you want to buy.
