Hi
I have a HP Envy 700-060ea. I would like to upgrade it for better gaming. So how can I max this machine today?
Current specs: https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c03824427
Upgraded Nvidia Geforce 760 - higher spec than attached - but assume power supply as stated in link?
I have seen I can upgrade to 32GB of RAM on 64bit system (please confirm and specifiy if there is a good make model to buy?)
I would like to upgrade the graphics but assume the processor, motherboard etc are ok? but I am not sure what will work/fit/be powered.
I could also look to replace power supply if required.
I am not sure how much this will all cost or if i might be better off investing in a new system. Also considering a 256GB SSD to keep things moving quick (another internal drive for media etc.)
Any advice would be appreciated.
Kind regards,
Matt

Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.
I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know the upgrade information for your computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
You can go ahead and install Geforce GTX 1060 graphics card and it should work fine. I see that you have 460-Watt power supply on the computer and I do not see any need to upgrade the power supply.
As you have mentioned your computer supports up to 32GB of RAM.
Hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Hi
Ok after a bit of research I am looking at the Geforce GTX 1060 (MSI version).
https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-NVIDIA-GeForce-Express-Graphics/dp/B01IOPQ1VO?th=1
I need to look a bit more into the power supply etc but I think this could work. With the addition of the RAM and a new SSD this should create a nice'ish gaming machine.
If anyone can confirm or give me any advice I would appreciate it (a bit new to all the PC stuff).
Cheers,
Matt
