HP Media Center PC m470n not able to read 8g sd card from camera

SD card is not recognized on my desktop.  The card works fine on my laptop.  It is a PNY Optima 8GB card.  Do I need newer drivers? or is the configuration differant and if so what do I need to change.

@docsavage, welcome to the forum.

Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer.  You should read the section titled "Memory card reader" for a list of compatible SD cards.  I believe that yours may be too new for the card reader.  If this is the reason it doesn't work, you can always buy an inexpensive USB card reader.  I have one that I have used for years.  It is much less expensive that internal card readers and works fine.

That is what I figured I was going to have to do if no one came up with an answer.  Looks like I am headed to the store for the not so great a fix.
