HP Omen 25L GT12-1005na
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi I recently bought a HP Omen 25L model number GT12-1005na and as it only comes with a 512GB ssd and 1Tb HDD I wanted to see if I could add an M.2 ssd I have spoken to HP support and one agent mentioned that there is only one slot for the current M.2 ssd but the next agent I spoke to mentioned that there is two slots for the M.2 ssd which now makes matters confusing as this is my first gaming PC. Could you clarify whether I can add an M.2 ssd to the current one bringing the storage up to 1.5tb if not then I was thinking of upgrading the storage via an sata ssd 1tb internal. Now for the M.2 ssd I was going to go for the WD Blue SN550 1TB M.2 PCle NVME SSD but wanted to make sure that it is compatible. As for the sata drive I was thinking of the Samsung 870 QVO 1 TB SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive. As I'm new to this preferably I'd like the option that is less stressful when upgrading like plug and play rather than having to mess with cables etc. Don't want to void the warranty or damage anything. So to put this all briefly I want to know whether this gaming PC can have the memory upgraded, such as can I add the M.2 ssd to the other slot if there is one, whether its compatible. If not then upgrading SATA ssd drive again if there is another slot free and whether the one I mentioned is compatible and lastly the option which is easier to do as I'm new to this and lastly how would I upgrade the M.2 ssd or SATA ssd as I don't see a spot to put either so maybe there could be a guide on how to do so as I can't find anything online for my model via the Web or YouTube. So in conclusion I want to know if it has two slots for a M.2 PCle NVME ssd and the WD Blue SN550 1TB High-Performance M.2 PCIe would be compatible. Also do you know where I install it as I opened it up and couldn't find a spot, is there a guide I can follow? Lastly out of a M.2 ssd and a internal Sata Drive which would you recommend. Thanks in advance 🙏

Hi I have tried to read the upgrade memory information but I still don't exactly understand it. Would you be able to please tell me whether my computer can or can't accept another M.2 ssd I have no idea if it can and where even to put it as it doesn't seem clear and I'm not entirely sure what I am doing and I don't want to damage anything. As I said I have spoke to 2 hp specialists via the phone and one tells me that I can't add an additional M.2 ssd because there isn't space and the second specialist said that there are two slots for the M.2 and that I can add a M.2 ssd. If I can add a ssd are you maybe able to find a guide on how to install the ssd as I don't know where to attach it to, I can't find anything online to help whether it be YouTube or through Google. Thanks in advance 🙏
