HP PRO 3400 Microtower
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

HI.

I have recently purchased a HP PRO 3400 Microtower pc model number: LH121EA#ABU. I am trying to do a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit from the disc that came with the machine. The installation completes fine and at this point I install a wireless internet adapter and go to do windows update. At this point windows installs the update software but when it starts checking for new updates it just sits there with the green bar going round and round. I thought it may be checking for a lot of updates so left it for over 24 hours and still it sat there going round and round. When I restart the machine and go to windows update it says last checked, never. I thought it may be a driver issue or some thing that windows update may be having trouble with so I went to the HP UK update site and used your tool that detects my machine but after running that im still having no joy. I have tried 2 different wireless adapters and still it did not work. Can you please help as this is a lovey machine but if I cannot update windows there is no point in keeping it.

Many thanks

Andy
