Me Again LOL.  I thought I had found a solution; I found a used HP branded GTX 1660 Super on Ebay and thought this might be the way to go without upgrading the PSU ... then I checked my PSU and it only has a 6 pin connector not the 6+2 that would be required for the GPU upgrade.

Decided to go with the L04618-800 at 400W from the Ebay vendor in China, this should at least allow me more options for a GPU upgrade.

Sorry, I missed your last two messages.  An HP branded GTX 1660 Super should really make a Gaming difference for your HP Pavilion 690-0039 Gaming Desktop, and the 400-watt L04618-800 power supply should power your rig much, much better than a 310-watt power supply ever would have.
