My mother has been using a 12 year old system and started having I/O port issues I suspect to be solder related. I recommended she get the HP Pavilion TP01-2234. It appears suitable for movie streaming, web surfing and office related tasks.
Searching posts here I found that this system can accept an upgraded HP 400W PSU ( L04618-800 / Power Supply - GNRC PSU 400W SFF Entl FR ). I could not get HP to confirm this PSU is compatible without the serial number off the case, which is still in the factory box. The Best Buy tech hooking up the system and doing the upgrades is scheduled a week or more out so I do not have access to the serial number, and I live in another state. If someone can verify this part number with the above model Pavillion are compatible it would be much appreciated. It appears her system has the Erica6 MB. Here is the post I am basing my findings off of. In the linked charts I see a TP01-0034, Erica and Erica2 but no Erica6. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-Pavilion-TP01-2234-PSU-upgra...
I'm also curious if this 400W PSU has an efficiency rating, and if it has a PCIe connector that will work with a GPU. I hate to make assumptions but this chart shows this 400W PSU as "gaming series" and mentions a 6+2 PCIe connector.
TIA
