HP Z4 G4 Workstation (1JP11AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

The Computer can install two internal HDD in the standard 3.5 inch bays. In the two other 5.25 inch bays the Serial ATA doesnt recognize any other harddisks if you try to install via SATA. If I connect them externally via USB 3 in the back of the Computer, then is no problem to detect them. But internally the software doesnt find the HDD Drives, even if the HDD got formatted before. If I connect a USB Stick ExFat formatted for Windows on a Mac OS System, it doesnt recognize any data and asks for new formatting. On Windows 10 on my old HP Z240 or HP Z440 there is no problem to detect the same USB stick and it's Data. Is this now **bleep**ty WIN11 Pro bug with missing drivers, or just a **bleep**ty Computer?

Are the two HDD's already formatted or are they in a RAW stat without a volume or drive letter?

The two HDD are formatted and have been working fine until now in the HP Z 420 Workstation. I bought even a new  8TB HDD, formatted it via an external ICY Box HDD Duplicator connected with USB3 on the Computer. There the Computer  recognizes the drive and all partitions and don't crash. I suspect some bug in Windows 11 or the HP Sure protect software the PC uses to start up. through the last Crash it seems to have lost the naming of the computer under Adobe Creative Cloud. It thinks this is a new computer now which I have to reactivate my Adobe License like a third Computer.

I suggest reinstalling the chipset driver software.

Have you updated the drivers and BIOS?

Have you used Device Manager and Diskpart to see what kind of issue there is?

Considering that your workstation isn't really very far past in generation, it is likely that there is an operating system problem.

I suggest using SFC or the Windows DISM utility to check the OS image and repair it in-situ if there is a problem.
