HP All-in-One PC 27-dp1000i (1K788AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

HP All-in one PC 27 - dp1000I.

Brand new and unboxed and set up yesterday.

Hard disk is making a grinding noise but I have run the diagnostic tests and everything is fine.

Noise is so loud  need to use ear defenders to use it.

These systems usually come with a solid state drive "m.2"  so no moving parts.

Grinding noise like you mentioned can be cause by any of the fans.

Possibly a wire came lose and is touching the blades on a cooling fan.  Usually Wi-Fi antennas are tied down to prevent this sort of thing.  You need to return it as opening the case up to look may void your warrantee.

Good Luck.
