Upgraded to windows 11, then got blue recovery screen, and fixed pc and now back to windows 7, and now dns servers aren't working, cant find product key in registry, and updates and defender not working. With all of this i can't upgrade or do anything

Did your PC ship from HP with W7?

 

Why did you reinstall W7? I would have done a clean W10 installation if your PC was running W11. I'm thinking you would have upgraded to W11 from W10.

 

And you would have probably upgraded from W7 or W8 to W10.

 

Your PC should have a digital license to use W10 if you upgraded to W10. The PC should auto activate after installing W10.

 

Select "I don't have a product key" while installing W10.

 

It looks like the PC is lacking network drivers when running W7.

 

I would try a clean W10 installation.
