You're very welcome.

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that PCIe 3 x 4 NVMe SSDs are supported.

Maintenance and Service Guide

According to the AMD Ryzen 5 5600H motherboard specs, the PCIe generation is 3.0.

Listed under the Connectivity specifications section.

AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600H Drivers

So, either the HP specs you posted are wrong, or HP installed a PCIe Gen 4 x 4 SSD in your notebook that is not running at its maximum advertised read/write speeds.

You can copy and paste the SSD information that is listed under the disk drives device manager category and do a search by that drive model number and find the actual specs for the drive HP installed.

You can, but since your notebook's NVMe slot is only PCIe Gen 3.0, the Samsung 990 Pro Gen 4.0 SSD will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds.

Thank you for your reply.

According to hp support site, the product specs is as follows for hard drive:

512 GB PCIe® Gen4 NVMe™ M.2 SSD

Current HD supports Gen4. Am i wrong?

Please admise.

Best regards!
