@tyler068,

Unfortunately, I don't know at this juncture what to tell you -your RAM is perfectly capable to run at 2666 MHz, and your processor allows it too, even if you didn't have XMP access...

I ran xmp profile 2 at 2666mhz and my game hasn’t crashed yet so

@tyler068,

That is a really good question: the fastest I have seen any RAM run on HP OMEN 25L Desktop GT12-0xxx platforms, is 3200 MHz, which is actually faster than what the corresponding high-end 10th gen Intel processors such as the i7-10700K allows (2933 MHz), as seen with this User example: HP OMEN 25L Desktop GT12-0xxx Performance Results - UserBenchmark.

You may want to look into the HP Omen Gaming Hub software and see if it allows you to get the most out of your RAM: OMEN Gaming Hub - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store.

I downloaded the omen gaming hub and I don’t have the over clocking ram option in the app?

@tyler068,

If the Omen gaming hub doesn't show a RAM XMP/OC option other than what you already have, I have no idea where to go from here.

As I mentioned in one of my earlier comments, the max RAM speed your i5-10400 natively allows is 2666 MHz, which you said your RAM is currently running at.  For all intents and purposes, this is still a respectable RAM speed, and if I were you, I would focus more on upgrading your processor at this point in time.

Kind Regards,
