HP Pavillon 24-XA0053W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to add an 8GB memory module and need to know how to get the rear cover off. Documents from HP show a similar All In One, but it has 2 screws on the bottom of the base. Mine only has a serial # and model # tag in the center of the bottom of the base.

Thank you for the advice and link. The problem I have is that when looking at the bottom of the base there are NO screws. The only thing on the base is a retangular tag that has the Model # and Serial #. Based on your information and the information on :http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06111214, I am guessing that the tag needs to come off and that the screws are under the tag. So far no one at HP support knows, all they can say is to take to an actual human technician.

Can you post a pic of the base where the screws should be???

If they are under the tag you should be able to run your finger over it and feel if there are screws under the tag???

I do feel what seem to be screw heads under the label. I am going to go back the the work bench and see if I can get the label to peel back. Will let you know what I've found.

Good news and bad news. The 2 screws were under the label. Got the cover off, EMI shield off and put new memory card into unsed slot. Closed up everything without losing a single screw, only to not see the new 8GB of RAM. 😞 No error messages, nothing. PC booted right up and seems to be working fine. When I look at the system, it only shows the 4GB that it came with. Thank you for all your advice.
