HP Pavilion Elite HPE-195a Desktop PC

My SD card reader is damaged and no longer reads any card. I have another one that fits the clip on cover and lines up perfectly, and connects to the motherboard and works perfect. However, I just cannot figure out how to take the original out! I have removed the screw and carefully tried to slide it out, nothing. Side to side seems to show metal tabs inside the case which don't look like they can be bent easily. Is there a proper way to do this?

@jaydenridley4,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Information regarding your HP Pavilion Elite HPE-195a Desktop PC is almost non-existent -however, my best guess is that after you have loosened the screws on either side of the HP card reader securing it in place in the drive bay, gently push on the back of the card reader from inside your desktop to slide it out of the front of the drive bay.

Yea, it really should be that easy.
