I have a Seagate 12TB hard disk; however, it shows up as 2TB instead. During the boot up, it shows Disk ID 3 as 2TB while my existing  Seagate Exos X14 ST12000NM0038 12 TB  (ID 1) does not show the size but is working fine. Any help is much appreciated.

@chucklor,

According to this discussion,  the issue is the SATA controller.

Here's what I have, two 12TB drives (ST12000VN0008 and ST12000NM0038) both connected to the SAS connector on the motherboard. ST12000NM0038 is connected to ID1 and ST12000VN0008 is connected to ID3. However ST12000VN0008 is showing 2TB and ST12000NM0038 is showing the full capacity. When I moved the cable from ID3 SAS connector  to the SATA connector on the motherboard, the full 12TB size shows up on Windows. Why is one drive shows up correct but not the other? Granted the ST12000NM0038 is a SAS drive but I believed SATA drive can be used on the SAS connector.
