I'm just not realy sure if it have something to do with the number of cores: in the name of the software is WINSVR2019STD ADLIC (4 CORE) NOKEYAPOS. I'v read only few pages of the big book, and I realy don't understand some things even if it's in german... they write about how many licences you have if.... where... under wich circumstances...

In the manual is not 1 word about RAID or AHCI.

It's a pitty, an old friend of mine is programming for Microsoft here in Zürich, but I don't have his nummber... I met him last time about 7 years ago. He surely would have a solution...

I'm afraid I don't know about the server licensing either.

I have never run any Windows Server OS on any of my PC's because they are all used as standalone PC's with files stored on each individual PC and non-networked.

The RAID, AHCI, IDE has nothing to do with the processor, or memory.  That is the way the drive controller is set.

RAID and AHCI support native command queuing, and IDE doesn't, which is one of the reasons why the IDE setting results in slower hard drive performance.

Here is a short article on Native Command Queuing...

Hello again Paul.

Since 2 weeks I'm waiting for a answer from the shop I'v bought the software. They also have no idea how it works.

I'v been thinking about following: At the paper with the serial number they are talking about "the manufacturer of the server or the software installer"....>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>v

Windows Server 2019_license.png

not one word about me, or a "client", "customer" or "owner". For me it looks like they are expecting I recieve a computer with preinstalled OS, or a technician from HP come to my house to install the software, wich includes (for me) a service contract with HP !!!

I'v read today a reply to my comment in the blog of the shop from a customer with exactly the same problem....

At the moment the HP support in my country is closed, and agent Brenda from HP USA send me just links wich don't give me answers...
