Hi:

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your model PC.

According to the report, you can go as much as 2 x 16 GB of memory in your PC.

https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hP-Compaq/pavilion-560-p052nj

So, yes it is possible to add a second 8 GB memory chip to the existing one.

is it possible to add a second 16 GB memory chip to the existing 8M one

Yes, that would be fine, but the memory will run in the lower performing single channel mode because in order for the memory to run in the higher performing dual channel mode, memory has to be installed in matching capacities (2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB...).

I have 8G memory on the computer, I wanted to add another 8G card in the additional slot. The memory card that came inside the computer is made by KINGSTON. But the memory components on it are probably made specifically for HP. I wanted to buy the same 8G memory card, in addition, also made by KINGSTON, but I was told at the computer store that they do not recognize the components on the card that comes with the computer, and think it is a special production for HP, and not sure that, a standard memory card will work with the card that came with the computer?

Hi:

If you buy one of the Crucial memory chips listed in the report I posted, it should be compatible.

Crucial guarantees compatibility.
