- HP used proprietary power connector on board and is not compatible with normal power supply. Effectively making it impossible to upgrade. I need an adapter. 24 pin to pwrcmd. Specifically compatible with RenoR motherboard. I am not happy. Up til now I was impressed. But this is BS.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
Well, I choose to see your disagreeance a bit more nuanced. I knew going "in" the HP universe, that HP uses proprietary power supplies for most of its consumer/office PCs and understood the reasoning behind it: control & compatibility, optimization & quality control purposes, and -of course- making more than a few dollars in the process.
It should be noted that -rightly or wrongly, it is common industry practice for computer manufacturers not just HP, but also Dell and Lenovo to use proprietary power supplies and motherboards in their systems, especially in office-type PCs or lower-end models.
There are two -proprietary- power supply upgrades available for your PC:
500-watt: the larger-sized L05757-800 or the smaller-sized 901759-013
650-watt: the larger-sized L57253-003 / L36049-003.
And lest I forgot to mention it: there are no ATX to RenoR motherboard adapters available at this point in time.
The aforementioned power supplies can be purchased online such as via eBay.
Kind Regards,

Thank you. You are correct. I was unaware, and would not have purchased it if I did. I already have a far superior psu to any of these. The frustrating part is I see many adapters, but none claim compatibility with my board. Really want to use the psu I have. I view this as predatory and manipulative business practice.
