HI ERICO
IVE DEFINITELY NOT INSTALLED A PASSWORD.
Tbh Since I posted the Last Question, I've been looking through previous posts that have had EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM !
I'm not seeing a fix for this& there are quite a few people who seem to have posed the EXACT same issue ! I find that fact alone very hard to take on board !
Surely someone has been able to gain some ground on this particular issue ??

HI ERICO
I HAVE DEFINITELY NOT INSTALLED A PASSWORD.
TBH, Since I posted the last question, I've been looking for answers also and on the hp community forum there are quite a few people who have seen the EXACT SAME ISSUE.
What I find hard to understand is HOW something like this can be so much of a problem and not have fix for it

Hi @pommie5
Instead of making a general statement sch as "there are quite a few people who seem to have posed the EXACT same issue"
How about showing me the threads or articles where you see that to be the case.
I tend to be fact driver, so help me out here.

HI ERICO
Generalisations aside, as I think that's getting away from the question.
My question again is.
With thee the original HD fitted in my 24-e080na everything BOOTS UP and runs well albeit VERY SLOWLY, Hence my requirement to upgrade to SSD.
Which installed via USB Works well & is at a very much better speed.
I want to fit the SSD INTO THE 24-E080NA, not having it "TETHERED".
This is causing me to have a problem, as it will neither BOOT, nor can I get into the BIOS by pressing any of the keys mentioned previously.
If you're able to fix my problem then great.
If you've never come across the problem, and I've found myself with an unfixable anomaly then that's as it is. Thanks

"the original HD fitted in my 24-e080na everything BOOTS UP and runs well albeit VERY SLOWLY"
That is for two reasons. 1) The OS installation has issues and it is an electromechanical device. An SS is made os electronic components that have fast access and low latency, unlike an HDD.
If you are able to install the original HDD in your PC and it runs, even slowly, that means the issue has nothing to do with the BIOS.
What you will need to do is to remove the original HDD, install the new SSD in the PC, plug in the USB installation USB flash drive and start the process of making a fresh installation of Windows.
Two of those threads you provided images of used nonsensical methods of keystrokes to recover the BIOS. One, with the Win key + 8 is completely made up and the other one did not follow the many tutorial instructions on how to recover the BIOS.
Accessing the BIOS from a PC in its off state can only be done by performing one of the following methods.
1) press the power button and immediately start tapping the Esc key to access the Start menu. In the Start menu press the F10 key to access the BIOS.
2) Press the power button and immediately start tapping the F10 key.
Recovering the BIOS
Hold down the Windows key and the B key at the same time.
Keep holding the keys down and press the power button, without releasing the other keys.
Keep holding the Windows and B key down until the BIOS reacts with an onscreen message that says, and I will paraphrase this,. " BIOS recovery is in process-Do not remove power or turn off the PC" .
Wait until the onscreen message says that the recovery is complete
Any other so called keystrokes that are supposed to recover the BIOS are nonsensical and made up from someone's imagination.
It would have helped if you had provided hyperlinks to the threads you provided phone images of.
Typing in bold characters, well you already know that is considered just loud and it does not help persuade anyone in any discussion.

HI ERICO
As pointed out the links are an aside they aren’t my issue, so I haven’t got a problem in forgetting about them, as I said they’re just diverting from my original issue.
the HD worked / Works fine but slow. ( I understand the reasons why this is. It’s the reason I wish to upgrade in the first place).
the SSD when tethered via USB3 Works GREAT ( It's got windows 10 installed on it)
If the SSD is installed into the PC it neither BOOTS UP the PC, Nor can I get into the BIOS.
if after fitting ( the FORMATTED SSD ). How ( question ) will the SSD become Discoverable to then install the ( USB flash drive of the Windows OS ). ?
I honestly cant see that I’ve been typing in BOLD ( uppercase ! Yes to emphasise a particular word. If I’ve upset you then apologies.

I recommend that you take your laptop to a shop.
You will be better off paying a technician to perform a task you are not able to do by yourself.
An SSD in an enclosure or plugged into an adapter is connected to a PC with a USB cable.
It is not tethered.
Typing in bold breaks the flow of words in a sentence and makes it less readable.
That is why it is infrequently used, one of the exceptions is use for the header of a paragraph.

HI ERICO
I’m sure you’re Obviously aware I’m no Computer Genius or whiozzkid,! I’ve Certainly said it enough through all my writings. So I’m quite sure I don’t need to know that my referring to a SSD being connected is via “whatever means “ would be the ABSOLUTE DEFINITIVE PHRASE, for its description, you’re aware what I’m speaking about when I referred to it being : TETHERED” AS YOUVE TAKEN THE TIME TO CORRECT ME.
I will quite Obviously now take my PC to a shop to get someone who knows how to repair it, look at it.
I think also that you will find ( I’m pretty sure I’m correct that ) I’ve in fact NEVER TYPED IN BOLD !
I Have though typed in UPPERCASE !!
I think that if my mind serves me correctly, and you peruse my writing throughout the whole of this “ DEBATE / 20 QUESTIONS !! “ You’ll find that I’ve NOT ACTUALLY USED any bold typeface.

OK. Upper case then. It is a bit like someone saying something loud or repeating it again and again because they think that it has a persuasive effect. It does not.
"for its description, you’re aware what I’m speaking about when I referred to it being : TETHERED” AS YOUVE TAKEN THE TIME TO CORRECT ME."
I did that so when you discuss it with someone else, the person with will think you know what you are talking about.
because you are using the right description.
Learning PC and laptop hardware phrases and terminology has a steep learning curve. I am only trying to help you get there.
