HP 24-b209na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My IR camera is no longer detected, and this has disabled my Windows Hello logon.

It was working fine, so I know the hardware's ok.

I've tried all the usual suspects to fix - system restore rollback has not fixed it, as well as trying to uninstall the problematic USB device, and reloading drivers for Generic USB Hubs.

The screenshot shows (1) IR camera no longer present under Cameras folder, where it was present when working, and (2) highlighted problem USB device with error code 43. I'm thinking fixing the USB error will restore the IR camera.

I really need some help now to get my IR Camera up and running again, so any ideas welcome.

Solved - fixed by performing in-place Windows upgrade, as per

IR Camera restored to Device Manager and Windows Hello working properly

Spoke too soon! Suspect that Windows Updates has knocked the IR camera out again (and therefore Windows Hello too).

Can anyone from HP confirm if it is a Windows Update issue, and if so if a new/updated driver might be available (delivered by Windows Updates)?

Just applied the Windows 2019-09 update which hasn't fixed the IR camera - any idea when a fix might be made available via Windows Updates?

Thanks,

Mark
