I am wanting to move my componenets to a new case, but since the current case has the I/O shield built in to the case itselft, I do not have a shield for the new case. Is there a way I can get an I/O shield somewhere for this particular motherboard? I have tried to contact support directly through email, but there aren't any options to do so through the hp website (jsut the option to post on the forum...).

Hi Anduril12,

You're very welcome.

It would be impossible to get a HP I/O shield for your MB if HP integrates this part into the chassis.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Finding a I/O shield to install in a new chassis is not possible if the HP I/O shield is permanently attached to the existing HP chassis.

Are you sure you cannot pop out the current I/O shield?

It's not possible since the I/O shield is actually part of the chasis itself. So basically it's just a case with cutouts that match the mothboard I/O. I was hoping that HP had I/O shield for this motherboard that they could send me since this leaves anyone that buys these fully assembled desktops from the store no options to move the components to a new case. Although, most people who buy these full assembled desktops problable aren't even considering switching cases later on. I have never had a case where the shield wasn't removable so I never even though it would be a problem for me. Now, if I can't find a shield, then it's either go without it, or buy a whole new motherboard...

By the way, thanks for the reply.
