HP OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-0280z
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently purchased a new desktop and wanted to install a second hdd for more storage

I Popped open the case and installed the drive in the empty slot and connected the two cables the same way the first HDD is connected, however when I turn on my computer the new drive didn't show up.

I've tried going into disk management, and the setup option when starting my computer, but I don't see a way to turn on this second hdd

This is the new drive I installed

Western Digital 14TB WD Gold Enterprise Class Internal Hard Drive - 7200 RPM Class, SATA

I followed the instructions I saw of pressing f10 as the PC is starting to get to the bios screen

That's bringing me here, but I don't see any options  to adjust teh HDD it is loading

If we look at the documents here

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06592756.pdf

you are missing a Sata emulation option under configuration
I do not know if normal, or if precisely it only appears if the HDD is recognized
in the boot option you should be able to select it somewhere

if not, it is because the HDD is not recognized by the system
either a bad connection or the system will not be able to recognize it
Tried removing it, find usb adapter, connect HDD to usb
If it is recognized under windows, format it and create a smaller partition, reconnect the HDD internally, and test!

So I bought a HDD enclosure and tried connecting this HDD as an external

It still doesn't show up when I go to MY PC and isn't an option under disk management. I was starting to think the drive itself was a dud, however when I go in device and drivers and click on usb 3.0, it at least shows the WD 14TB there

So I managed to resolve this, I needed to scroll down on the disk management screen to find and format my new hdd

Ok, so the drive on is working either in usb, or internally?
the first time
"I've tried going into disk management, and the setup option when starting my computer, but I don't see a way to turn on this second hdd"
so you hadn't seen well too?
At least the fact of noting that it was well recognized in usb, was not so stupid ..
