I play new civilizations without any issues at all. Also some other light games. They're never going to get the frame count of a full-blown system. But with the right settings you can play most modern games. And anything older than 2013 game on.

I know it's an old thread. But just in case people are thinking of up grading. I was getting about 10fps in gta IV. AT 800X600 low settings. And I saw that the mxm card's weren't much of an upgrade. So I brought the beast mini pci express to pci converter and am running a hd5770 . I had to transfer the pc to another small case but now at 720p max settings

There is actually a couple different cards that will work in the machine.
If you look up the HP 800 G1 on the manual there's quite a few different cards. But we can talk about that on here because HP might get mad because that's not supported. There's a Nvidia 650 that runs rather well The supported AMD Radeon 7650A MXM 2GB has only 2 GB physical memory, but is software/shared memory enhanced to 5 GB if you use the HP driver. And actually gives relatively decent gameplay. It's never going to be a true gaming PC because it is business-class.
