Good day, I plan to take Prodesk 600 G3 ssf and in the future install a low-profile discrete video card GTX 1050ti, 1650ti, ore rx550,  rx6400 These video cards are low-profile and consume little power, a maximum of 75 watts. What confuses me is that the minimum power supply capacity indicated on them is 300 watts. And at HP prodesk sff 180 watt. Is this just a manufacturer's reinsurance or can the power supply be changed in your product?

@_Altron_,

The only 'official' power supply assigned to your HP ProDesk 600 G3 SFF is a 180-watt power supply.

However, there should be a compatible 240-watt power supply with p/n: 751886-001 (p/n: 702307-001 / 702307-002 / 722299-001 / 702309-001 / 796351-001 / 702457-001 / 702455-001) -please check the "P2" power cable:

But even with the 180-watt power supply, there are a couple of low-profile, low-power graphics cards such as the 40-watt TDP Dell RX 6500 4GB and the 53-watt RX 6400 4GB which are pretty good.

And with a 240-watt power supply, one of the best low-profile, low-power graphics cards would be an RTX 3050 LP 6GB card (70-watt TDP), such as this example: MSI RTX 3050 Low Profile 6 GB Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database.

Hope this was helpful.

Does a 300 watt power supply exist for it? And the price rtx 3050 Big and here gtx1650 With its energy consumption of 70 watts, it must also be powered

AND Rx550 rx6400 Can I install it on a 180 watt power supply without fear, despite their recommendation of 300 watts???

@_Altron_,

To be honest, I would recommend staying on the safe side of power supply: the 240-watt power supply is the absolute minimum power supply to power a Low-Profile GTX 1650, or a Low-Profile RX 550, or even a Low-Profile RX 6400.

I would advise against using a 180-watt power supply, with the possible exceptions of the aforementioned Dell LP RX 6500 or the RX 6400.  If you were to experience GPU power issues with your 180-watt power supply, I would use the Asus Tweak III or MSI Afterburner freeware software to reduce your graphics card's power target.
