Is HP Pavilion 23-q114 hard drive interface SATA1,2,or 3?

The drive controller speed in your PC is SATA III.

 

I noticed that HP labels all of the hard drive specs as SATA.

 

I am pretty confident not only is the drive controller SATA III, but so is the hard drive itself.

 

I have zipped up and attached a free utility below, that will show you the drive speed and the drive controller speed.

 

Run the utility.  Close out of the summary report window.

 

Go to the left side of the program window.

 

Click to expand the Drives section.

 

Click to expand the SATA/ATAPI drives section.

 

Click on your PC's hard drive name.

 

On the right side of the window, the first report will show you the hard drive speed and the drive controller speed.

 

If the drive is SATA III and the controller is SATA III, the report will show Serial ATA 6 Gb/s @ 6 Gb/s.
