Is the Gigabyte/Nvidia GTX 1050Ti graphics card compatible with a Pavilion p6310y desktop? The motherboard is a M2N78-LA. How can you tell which graphics card is compatible with which computer/motherboard? Thanks.

@Bob150, welcome to the forum.
I am sorry to say that the 1050 Ti is not compatible with your motherboard. It requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a Legacy/standard BIOS. HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012. The BIOS can't be upgraded to UEFI.
The last series of cards not to require UEFI were the GTX 660/670's. Your best option is to choose a manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best card for your system. This will save frustration and money.
