Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a new graphics card that needs 6-pin PCI-E power before realising my desktop (model m01-f1002na) PSU doesn't have any PCI-E cables.

 

Is it possible to buy a new PSU for it?

 

I noticed it's slimmer in size than PSUs that I've seen and the slot at the back of the tower unit doesn't go the whole width across it, so it seems like a standard size PSU wouldn't fit.

 

Any help would be appreciated - Thanks!

You noticed the strangely sized PSU.  Those units have an HP proprietary designed PSU.

Here is my spreadsheet on those units.  The HP M01 is a series, the f1002na is the model number.  The most models on the market have the 180W PSU.   It can be max'ed out to the HP L05757-800 (500W) PSU.

 

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

Printer -- HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 Legal

Thanks very much for the reply.

 

Unfortunately it looks like L05757-800 (500W) PSU isn't available in the UK/Ireland and there doesn't seem to be any for sale with other retailers.

 

I might just have to forget about the upgrade.
