Reached out to Universal Audio and they stated the only issue is that I don’t have a Thunderbolt 3 port. Is there no way to add one to this computer, even through a dock? Is it true that I can’t install a PCIE?

HP Recommended

It has a Pcie slot, and then you can buy a Thunderbolt card.

Thank you very much!
Another representative with HP (via webchat) stated that I can’t add a PCIE because of some issue with the (discrete) graphic card. He made it sound like the expansion slot is taken by the graphic card? Is this true? If not, are there any PCIEs you recommend? I want to make sure I buy the correct one.
thank you again.

That's easy, open the case and see if it has an extra PCie slot, and it should, recommendations, I have never used a Thunderbolt card, I have not had the need to use one.

Thank you. I opened it up and it does look like it has an open PCIE slot. Is there no way for you to help me determine what type of PCIE I should be buying?

HP Recommended

Sorry. One more thing. What open PCIE slot do I have?
I can’t find the right manual online that will help me with this. Thank you!

I don't understand what you mean by Open, if you have a free PCie slot that can always be used, but looking at the picture of the motherboard, I see only one PCie slot and in your case it must be used by the graphics card
