So I have the HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0034 and I was looking on upgrading my CPU to the Intel I9-9900K however I am not sure if that is compatible with my motherboard or with my PC in general. Could you assist me with this. If it is not compatible what parts should I replace so it can become compatible?

Hi,

You can upgrade to a 9900 having a TDP of 65 watts. A 9900K has a higher TDP.

Okay thank you, However Is there any possible way to use a I9-9900k? You said it has a higher TDP so if this makes any sense How do I increase my TDP to make the I9-9900k Compatible?

version K being the version for motherboard, which allows the overclock, it would not serve you much anyway

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (6 GB) Internal PSU 500 W

possibly, if not already made that you have this graphics card
under condition, that the power supply is sufficient, with the required connectors pci of power supply, you can consider a graphics card more parformante

Unfortunately for some models it is necessary to consider the replacement of the power supply box.

Hi,

You are very welcome.

I will continue providing support by answering your second question.

This would not be possible for two reasons:

1. The BIOS would not recognize the 9900K

2. The VRM's HP are using may not provide enough power to the CPU. Your PC's H370 chipset supports 9900K but HP has chosen to not support this CPU on your MB.

You need a top tier Z390 board and DDR4 MEMORY to run the 9900k. Your 1155 chipset board isn't compatible
