I keep getting random HP .exe application error messages, and I don't know how to get rid of them. I've tried everything and they haven't gone away. It could have something to do with some updates I recently applied. I don't know. I'm not an expert on this at all. I just want some help.

Hi

I need to know the type of system you have and information about the type of error messages

do error messages disappear before you can make a note of it?

if they stay on the screen long enough you can capture it using

the WIN + SHIFT + S keys

and paste it here

These are the three messages that keep popping up.

1. HP Audio Switch.exe application error

2. ProcInfo.exe application error

3. HPAPPSLauncher.exe application error

HP Recommended

get rid of procinfo (app name is touchpoint)

put "add or remove" into the windows search and look for applications that start with

HP

HPE

Touchpoint analytics

the following are all OK, do not delete

Possibly your antivirus removed it but did not do a good job of getting rid of all of it.

I had some mandatory updates installed the night before. I wonder if it had anything to do with that.

I think I fixed it. I did a system restore and that seems to have worked. I'll come back if I need any other help. But thank you.

Question:

Does the application cause an error or is windows reporting that it cannot run the application.?

for example  "ERROR: application XXXX tried to write to address yyyy and was terminated"

alternately

"ERROR: application XXXX at c:/program files/whatever   cannot be found"

In the first case you need to uninstall the app.

In the second case a registry cleaner may be needed.

Usually, with major windows update problems, there are no app errors, the system simply does not boot at all.

My opinion, worth about 0.02c

I just said I did a system restore. And I haven't seen those messages again. Thank you for your advice though.
