HP 970 Programmable Wireless Keyboard

I have bluetooth connection issues from my laptop to my wireless keyboard. I'll have it working, my wife will plug her laptop into my setup (assuming she's using the keyboard but prob not), then when I get back on my laptop will no longer see my keyboard. I've even directly plugged it in.

Is there an online key legend that tells me what each button does? I don't use it for anything fancy/advanced.

I have no clue what all these weird buttons do, ha, is there one that will launch bluetooth so that the laptop will more aggressively try to find it? Or some simple trick, please? I'm about to throw the thing in the trash. Should be as easy as plugging in the adapter and the laptop finding it, right? It has worked before, but I can't take the wireless keyboard anywhere bc I'll have problems. MANY THANKS!
