HP Touchsmart 300-1020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Attempting to upgrade this old computer from 4 GB to 8 GM of RAM.  Currently, I have two 2GB RAMs and they show the following on the card:  2GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600s-09-10-F2.  When I go into the HP website it shows that there are 200 pins and what I have seen on replacement is 204 pins....not sure if that can be done.  Thanks for any assistance.

Hi:

The pin information on your PC's support page is incorrect.

There is no such thing as a 200 pin DDR3 SODIMM.

All DDR3 SODIMMs have 204 pins.

A DDR2 SODIMM has 200 pins.

Thanks for your reply.  After digging into this more and talking to an individual from MemoryStock I did learn exactly what you shared.  I appreciate your time and effort in the response.  Thanks
