what an idiot I am.  Always going off half-cocked.  Now I have read the who?e thread, I have the URLs for v3.99 and 3.04 ... and have run them both do that now my PC has the very latest BIOS versiondated05OCT2016  namely K01 3.04.

 

Onwards and upwards.  Whatever are the ROM update on the same page as the BIOS files and should I be installing those too?
