M.2 Ports

HP Recommended
Omen 870 090
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade my storage with a WD Black SSD M.2 PCIe NVME, but I don't know if the M.2 slots in my motherboard support them. And I can't find a handbook of the motherboard (Thimphu). In the motherboard page it doesn't say if it is SATA or PCIe. Can someone provide me the handbook?

Thanks.

Hi:

According to this discussion, the motherboard supports NVMe M.2 SSDs as long as you have the latest BIOS update installed.

You're very welcome.

If you don't have BIOS version A0.14 installed, which according to the discussion was the update that added support for NVMe drives, you can update the BIOS by downloading the latest update from your PC's support page at the link below.

Looks like A0.59 is the latest one.

You can review the release notes and previous BIOS versions listed there as well.
