Solved!

M. 2 sata ssd not showing up in my pavilion 570

HP Recommended
Pavilion 570-p0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently I have installed a wd blue 500gb m. 2 sata ssd into my hp pavilion 570-p0xx desktop. I think based on previous reading the slot is able to support the drive I had purchased, but it's not showing up in either the bios and Windows disk management.

Also the computer came with a hard drive and cd drive pre-installed, not sure if that would be the issue.

Thanks in advance

Hi:

According to the product number you posted, you have a HP Pavilion 570-p059a Desktop PC.

HP Pavilion 570-p059a Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

Your PC has a Lubin motherboard, and the M.2 slot supports NVMe SSD's only.

Other folks have tried SATA SSD's in that motherboard and they didn't work.

Hi:

What is the product number of your PC?

Use this guide to find that information...please do not post the serial number.

Some motherboards M.2 slot support SATA SSD's only, some support NVMe SSD's only, and some support both.
