I'm looking to upgrade the RAM and graphics card. I know it has one 288-pin DIMM 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM memory(3) (1 x 8 GB) and an empty RAM slot. It also has an Intel® UHD Graphics 630(16). Can I just put any old 288-pin DDR4 ram into the extra slot? Can I install any PCI-E compatible graphics card? The goal is faster, better online gaming. Thanks!

Its specs

And motherboard
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06460332
1. RAM: You can add same existing 8GB RAM to slot 2 or using the following compatible RAM
https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct8g4dfra266/ct18571134
You can also upgrade to 32GB using the following compatible RAM
https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4dfra266/ct18797182
2. VIDEO card: Motherboard has following slots (some are already occupied)
- One PCIe x16 socket (for discrete graphics card)
- One PCIe x1 socket
- One M.2 socket 1, key A
- Two M.2 socket 3, key M (one for SSD card PCIe x4)
Yes, you can add a video card to the PCIe x 16 slot, Your machine only has 180 W Gold efficiency power supply therefore your choice is very limited. Many users recommended to use GT710 or even GT1030 otherwise you need more wattage PSU.
Regards.
