I want to upgrade the ram size from 4gb to additional 8 gb ddr4 ram.will the pc support that modification???

Your HP Slim Desktop PC S01-PF1000i (8SP30AV) according to: https://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c06916975 and: https://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c06678632, can support up to 32 GB (2 x 16GB) RAM on 64-bit systems.

 

But wait.  Usually more accurately, Crucial confirms here: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-slim-s01-pf1000i that your desktop can be fitted with up to 2 x 32 GB of DDR4 PC4-21300 2666 MHz, NON-ECC, UDIMM, 288-pin RAM if you so choose.
