On a prior post which no one is responding to my confusion, I was provided with specs to upgrade my PC from 12 to 16GB, changing out the 4GB to an 8 to match the other 8 that is there.
On the specs I was provided on the other post, it was mentioned that it has 204 pins, however every upgrade I could find, that says it is compatible to this PC, states 240 pins. Can someone please let me know the correct number of pins the memory slots for this pc has. I am hoping the prior post was incorrect of 204, as I have found many 240 upgrades, from crucial and other mfgs.

Thanks, Why it is confusing is that the response I was given on my other post, was actually taken from the HP support site that stated 204 pins at
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03924124, which shows: (You may need to copy/paste this link, as for some reason when clicking on it, the us-en, links over as us.en giving you a 404 error).
- Dual channel memory architecture
- Two 204-pin DDR3 DIMM sockets
- Supports the following:
- PC3 10600 (1333 MHz)
- PC3 12800 (1600 MHz)
- Supports 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB DIMMs
- Supports up to 16 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit computers
If the correct number of pins is actually 240, someone should tell HP to correct their information there.
