Missing FN Lock - Multimedia instead of function keys

HP Recommended
HP Pavilion Keyboard 300
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Its been some time since this question was asked and it was for Windows 7 so I'll give it a try and ask again...

The Pavillion Keyboard 300 is simply the best keyboard I know. Well, there is one problem where you cannot lock the FN key to disable the multimedia buttons. I'm an IT professional since 2001 and I have never ever pressed a single multimedia button but function keys are used a couple of times per minute. This is so annoying.

Is there any solution yet besides making the FN key mechanically stuck? HP cannot be for real.

@derschuhmann

Have you seen one ? More than 40 years working on computers from small to big I have not seen a keyboard which has a lock for Fn key.

Regards.

Thanks for your reply. Well, HP has in their knowledge base an article where it describes this key:

How to Lock or Unlock the Fn (Function) Key

Other companies use key combinations to lock it, like Ctr + Shift +Num or Fn + Num.

I have lots of keyboards where it works just inverted. You have to press the fn key to enable the multimedia functions. I'm always looking for a better keyboard and I found the Pavillon 300 just perfect and I can only speak for myself and the F1 to F12 are of huge importance in my daily work.

Have a nice day!
