Hey i have a 8860 (SMVB) motherboard and im curious about how much ram i can get for it and the per slot ram i can get as well as where and what ram i can get for it.

yes exactly
you can install two 16gb modules in order to obtain 32 gb
but do not make an unnecessary purchase, check, very often, we have enough memory with 16 gb
