Hello
In this article, the goal is only to know if adding more RAM is a solution.
If you have enough, adding a memory module would be of little use or not at all!
It may depend on your installed system, with windows 10 if you only have 4gb, it may not be enough!

If we add memory, it is most often to play games, or use powerful software.
The first thing to check, so this will be the maximum required or recommended and what you have installed
Example with the game Fortnite

RAM: 8 GB of RAM

If you have less than 8 GB, you will have to add more
If you already have 8 GB, you may need to add more.
If you have at least 16gb practically no use

Open the task manager and go to the performance tab, then memory
Look here, the available memory, if it is very low, adding more will be very useful
If the available memory is very high, you certainly do not need to add more.
Launch a program / game that you already own to check if necessary

For the vast majority, having at least 16 GB is more than enough.
Installing 32 GB of memory will not be necessary

for gamers this site can be of great help to you before buying a game: :

Can You RUN It
