Hi all,
I will eventually be looking to buy a new PC. However, in the meantime I would like to maximise my current system which is the HP Envy Phoenix 860-090na (I am well aware this is an old system, but there is some potential left in it). I have already upgraded the SSD and the power supply, but I am looking to do more. Needless to say, the limiting factor with this PC is the rather poor motherboard (HB 2B4B). Upgrading this could unlock the remaining potential of the current hardware through overclocking, getting faster RAM etc.
The case supports the microATX format. Would it be a simple case of buying and installing a microATX board of my choosing or are the fittings proprietary?
Thanks for your help.
