I need to install two additional harddrives. In the chassi I found 4 extra screws which I can use to fix a drive into one of the 3,5" bays. However, as I need to install two drives I need to another set of 4 screws. I haven't been able to find them anywhere. Where can I buy them? What itemnumber do they have?

Pg 28 of the Service manual
"Install four silver-and-blue 6-32 mounting screws (two on each side of the drive".
These are called isolation screws Source commentary
Standard 6-32 with 3/8" length hardware screws with rubber washer might suffice.

Hi, @Jonssondata
These screws have now become available at a reasonable cost...
If you live in the USA, and don't want to wait for them to come from the proverbial 'slow boat from China,' you can get them from a USA supplier.

Thank you for your reply. I live in Sweden and for some reason delivery from E-bay to Sweden seems not possible.
I find it extremely annoying. I have never before run in to this problem. HP supplies 4 extra screws in the chassi but if you need more your out of luck! It's really stupid.
This is the last time I order HP computers for my clients. 😞

You're very welcome.
Here is the part number for the screws...450712-001 or 594220-001.
Google it, and see if you can find a vendor that will ship to Sweden.
I checked the HP parts store website, and this is the response...
Part is not orderable in the HP Parts Store.
Hard drive isolation grommets (Blue color) - Contains four grommets-
This guy on eBay made his own and is selling them...I see he will ship to Sweden.
If you do this for a living, maybe you will want to order a 40 pack...

Thank you @Paul_Tikkanen you are most helpful!
The guy who makes his own states that they only work with 2,5", not 3,5". My disks are the later.
Thanks for providing the HP partnumber, it helped me find them at an official HP-partner here in Sweden. They are listed at SEK 445 (USD approximately 50 USD) for a set!! Delivery promised within 48 hours, I hope that is correct as I need them urgently. This whole matter has already cost me too much time...
Thank you very much again. I will update this thread when/if I finally get hold of the screws.

You're very welcome.
Sorry that I completely missed the 2.5" drive part.
Yes, I do see that he does sell the ones for the 3.5" drives...
You can get 40 of these for $20.
You had to pay $50 for only 4 screws? Yikes!

Update
The first supplier (that charges 50 USD for 1 set of 4 srecws) didn't have any stock. Their website says 48 hours delivery.
I searched on and I was in fact able to locate them on HP webbshop for parts. Price 30 USD - but they state "out of stock and delivery time unknow"
I finally found them at HP official partner for parts in Sweden. They have a few sets on stock. Price including shiping 473 SEK which is 52 USD. The screws costs almost as much as the hard-drive!!! Only alternative was to order the HD complete from HP but then the cost would have been really silly.
I also considered to dril my own holes in the bracket that holds the drives and fix it with standard screws and a few washers but decided it was too much work and not the serious way to do it for a client.
I'm waiting for the scres to be delivered now - lesson learned that I will be more careful when chosing supplier for next order of PC.

Yes, that sure sounds crazy, but how do you know that other suppliers don't have the same issues?
I would have to look inside their PC's and see what is supplied, or know how cheap and easy it is to get spare screws.
Let's face it...what manufacturer is going to put more than one or two extra sets of screws inside the PC?
I can say one thing...HP does not make it cheap or easy to get extra drive screws!
