Hi @pluwtox,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your computer Mouse is not working.

If your mouse isn’t working, let’s troubleshoot step by step:

Cable connection: If it’s wired, make sure the USB plug is firmly inserted. Try another port.

Battery check: If it’s wireless, replace or recharge the batteries.

Power switch: Many wireless mice have a small switch underneath — confirm it’s turned on.

Surface issues: Optical mice sometimes struggle on glossy or uneven surfaces. Try a mousepad or plain paper.

Driver update: Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause problems. Check Device Manager for errors.

Bluetooth pairing: If it’s Bluetooth, re-pair the mouse in your system settings.

Operating system settings: Verify pointer speed and button configuration haven’t been changed.

Test on another device: Plug the mouse into a different computer to see if it works there.

Try another mouse: If a different mouse works fine, the issue is likely with the original hardware.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
