Hi @taytay8,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding mouse issues on the HP All-in-One Desktop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Battery and Power

Battery Replacement:

  • Ensure that the batteries in your wireless mouse are fresh and properly installed.

Power Switch:

  • Check that the power switch on the bottom of the mouse is turned on.

Reconnect the Mouse

Receiver/Transmitter:

  • Ensure that the receiver or USB dongle is securely plugged into a USB port on your HP desktop.
  • Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port.

Pairing the Mouse:

  • If your mouse has a pairing button, press it to re-establish a connection with the receiver.

Check Mouse Settings and Drivers

Update or Reinstall Drivers:

  • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Mice and other pointing devices section.
  • Right-click your wireless mouse and select Update driver.
  • If updating doesn’t work, select Uninstall device, then restart your computer and plug the receiver back in to reinstall the driver.

Mouse Settings:

  • Go to Start > Settings > Devices > Mouse.
  • Ensure that the mouse settings are correctly configured.

Test with Another Device

  1. Use on Another Computer:
    • Try using the wireless mouse on another computer to check if it is functioning.

Check for Interference

  1. Clear Obstacles:
    • Ensure that there are no obstacles or interference between the mouse and receiver.

I hope this helps.
