HP 15-d008se Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)

Pls HP or any one I went to fix my HP 15 d008se (it had a bad battery and a bad hard disk[1tb] ) so got it back after 3 days so I had a new battery and a new hard disk[250gb] cuz that what I could afford and a windows 10pro[18363.628(1909/2019 update)] but my display adapter showed only Intel hd graphics 4000 and am surprised what happened to the Nvidia pls help after countless reboot and reset (an Nvidia graphics card was not detected in your system) is there a probability of him removing my GC or exchanged it for the Intel pls I need a clear picture of what it looks like on my motherboard[21BC] And no matter what app I run I always have a 0% gpu usage and windows installer not found plsss

Possible Causes:

Driver Issues: The Nvidia drivers might not be installed or recognized properly after the system reinstallation. Windows might have defaulted to Intel's integrated GPU because the Nvidia drivers were missing.

Graphics Card Not Detected: If the Nvidia GPU is not being detected, it could be due to hardware issues or improper connection. However, if it was working before, it’s possible that either a software or hardware mishandling occurred during the repair.

Motherboard or GPU Changes: It's also possible, though less likely, that the technician may have accidentally disconnected or replaced your Nvidia graphics card during the repair process, especially since your system is now only showing Intel HD Graphics.
 

Steps to Troubleshoot:

1. Check for Nvidia Drivers in Device Manager:

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Display Adapters section and see if the Nvidia GPU is listed there (it may be listed as "Unknown Device" or "Basic Display Adapter").
  • If the Nvidia card is not listed, this could indicate either a hardware issue or that the system is not detecting the card.

2. Install Nvidia Graphics Drivers:

  • Visit the Nvidia Driver Download page and enter the model of your Nvidia card (if you know it).
  • Download and install the appropriate drivers for your GPU.

If you're unsure which Nvidia GPU your laptop originally had, you can use a tool like Speccy or HWInfo to try and detect your hardware. However, if the GPU isn't detected in these tools either, it could suggest a hardware issue.

3. Check BIOS Settings:

  • Reboot your laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings by pressing Esc, F10, or Del (depending on your laptop model).
  • Look for any settings related to graphics or discrete GPU. Ensure the discrete GPU (Nvidia) is enabled and set as the primary graphics option.
  • If there is no option for the Nvidia GPU, this may suggest that it's not being detected by the motherboard.

4. Check if GPU was Physically Removed:

  • Although it's rare, you can check if the Nvidia GPU is still physically present in your laptop by opening the case and visually inspecting the motherboard. In many laptops, the GPU is soldered to the motherboard, so it’s unlikely to be removed, but if the technician changed the motherboard, it could have been swapped for a version without a dedicated GPU.

Please how do i recognize the Nvidia GPU on my motherboard 

And thanks for the reply although I won't be with my PC for a few days🙂

Yh the troubleshoot step 1 point 2 it once showed Basic Display Adapter but then also I tried installing my GPU[no Nvidia GPU detected] was all I got so I accidentally uninstalled the device because I had no idea what it was😥😢 the former was GeForce 820m though I never really paid attention to Intel so I don't know if it was there before or not

sorry for the late reply ii tried reinstalling windows 10 to the 22H2 version normally i was expecting miracles

Hi .@Gaya1239 my Intel turbo boost technology was also mistakenly disabled how do I fix it from the bios
