Hello everyone! I have two very similar HP desktops. One is M01-D0004q and the other TG01-1820no.

Checking the full list of specifications for each system shows the following: the M01 has an Erica 2 mobo, while TG01 has the Erica 3.

Yesterday I tried swapping the R5 3400 to the TG01 barebone that has Erica 3 motherboard and did not post. I tried both the systemboard hdmi and the video card hdmi but nothing.

Tried swapping ram sticks (both of them are functional), reseating video card, clearing CMOS, but still nothing.

I just need if my erica 3 motherboard is toast, or it simply is not compatible with with cpus from erica 2 chart.

I do not have the original cpu from the TG01 as I bought it as a barebone desktop.

Thanks for any reply and help.

@tonybanx,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

Unfortunately, the processors for each motherboard are not compatible with each other:
