Hello, I would like to equip an older computer with a new processor. HP Support can't help, they don't have that kind of information. I can't find any information in the knowledge database either.
I hope for your expertise... We are looking for compatible processors for a Pavilion 23-b110eg (maybe someone has a list) Socket 1155 LGA. Mainboard is from Pegatron Corporation, Model 2AED. An Intel Core i3 3220 is currently installed. I'm leaning towards an i5 or i7 Thanks

Thank you very much, that was very quick. Your statement confirms my assumption, which is why I've already tried installing an INTEL Core i7-2600 / 4x 3.4 - 3.8 GHz / LGA 1155 / Quad Core. The computer does not start and the message appears that this processor is not supported. Where is my mistake?

You're very welcome.
Your mistake seems to be that you installed an Intel i7-2600 processor and not an Intel i7-2600S processor.
The reason why the i7-2600 is not supported is because it is a 95W processor and the motherboard only supports the 65W processors.
Here's a side-by-side comparison of the two processors.
